I’m looking for some big boy storage for my roms. Think everything I have now is about 7tb between multiple devices. Is this a good value/storage option moving forward? Seagate 22tb External HHD STKP22000400 $289. What do you use or recommend for storage?

I went from Synology to Unraid, and it's been great. (Synology had some drama where at one point they said people will need to use their branded more expensive drives and then walked it back). Since you said You have about 7TB I would plan to have around 14TB or more of storage to have enough space

NAS with support for ZFS/BTRFS, different-sized drives, and drive upgrades?

I’m new to nas etc so the second half of what you’ve written is like Greek to me, however I just purchased a Terramaster f6-424 and it seems to me that the three things you’re looking for are present. Btrfs support. Support for different size disks concurrently, and ability to add more, larger disks

Looking for a pre-built 8HDD server to run Unraid. Anyone recommend UGREEN or TerraMaster?

I have two Terramasters on Unraid, F4-424 Pro and F6-424. They run just fine. Install the Dynamics plugins a you are all set. Tip: use the same USB what come with the Terramaster systems, they last longer I was told. No BIOS fiddling needed.

I’ve come to the conclusion that nas’ are not for noobs

I want to preface this comment with, "I don't know if I can recommend what I'm about to say to a complete noob" however, I highly recommend ditching Terramaster's software and running something different. I have the F6-424 Max as well and I'm running UnRaid on it. Aside from a couple little quirks g

F4-424 RAM Issues

I tried a Crucial CT32G48C40S5 with TrueNAS and the system would lock up sometimes during boot, sometimes a couple hours later. This is in a N95 based F6-424, it is VERY important that people are clear on which model they have as the situation is different with the Max models. Unfortunately some peo

Recommendations for Plex/NAS Hardware

Yea, right now I'm looking at Asustor AS6706T, Terramaster F6-424 (Possibly the Max), and QNAP TS-664-8G. Terramaster has the better specs especially the Max edition in terms of processing power and max ram, but it has a more finicky, less stable OS compared to the others.
