So it begins.
I’ve got this, and got my gf the DXP2800. The DXP4800 Plus is solid. It looks great, performs well. I originally got it with the plan to run Unraid but the UGREEN software has been fine for what I’m doing, so stuck with it. Even the UGREEN mobile app is good.

eMMC failed 6 weeks ago after just 5 months use. Been pushing back and forth for a resolution since then
I am sad to see this happened to you and also how Ugreen is eroding their reputation this quickly on the NAS market. We just had a discussion whether Uggos can be booted from another drive, be it a clone or a straight install. Unfortunately, it cannot on models with eMMC (DXP2800 and DXP4800). https

I WANT TO CRY / DH4300 PLUS
We used a DXP2800 from both Windows machines and Macs. Worked fine and even worked as a Time Machine target Check out these instructions: https://nas.ugreen.com/blogs/buying-guide/manage-mac-files-with-nas Scroll down to "Connect to the NAS with Finder".

NVR alternative?
Every small n100 cpu based machine will do perfectly,. I even use my ugreen dxp2800 2 bay nas to do all without even a coral. Cpu and gpu do all the work with 12 watts

Need NAS advice: Should I build my own or buy a pre-built one?
I went with the ugreen dxp2800 and have loved it so far. It was my first NAS and found the setup and file management to be smooth. You can also download docker and run containers for Immich, jellyfin, home assistant, etc. with a lot of helpful tutotorials walking you through the process for each. if

I bought lifetime plex, long time ago for around $69 and been using it sens, been working and never need a new app to try, but would go to jellyfin if i would leave plex. Just started my journey with DXP2800, 2x8tb, all via Docker. Really glad i bought Ugreen.

Curious about home server
This is a huge question with an even bigger answer. Hang on... Step 1: You need a box to act as a server. There are a few common options you will see discussed; Second hand office PC with an 8th Gen intel or newer (~$200). These are cheap but can be tricky to add HDDs because most are SFF and have l

Bought a DXP2800, can I upgrade to 32 GB Ram?
Dang! $400!! That cost more than another DXP2800. Anyway, according to another Reddit post, users have had success with 32gb. https://www.reddit.com/r/UgreenNASync/comments/1mbnlju/dxp2800_ram_upgrades_beyond_16gb_share_your/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_butto
