SSD prices have tripled in 3 years

In 2023 there was a surplus of SSDs and were very cheap. Took advantage to buy a Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1TB for around $60. It isn't available anymore, but I bet it'll cost over $200 if it was today. AI ruined everything.

So long Crucial... thanks for the fishes

Back in early 2023, Samsung 970 Evo Plus 500GB drives were going for under $30. Should’ve bought hundreds.

PCIe 5.0 SSDs are overkill, and manufacturers finally realized most people don't need them

I'm still stuck on PCIe 3 with two Samsung 970 Evo plus. I write stuck, but honestly the SSD speed isn't bottlenecking anything. Maybe if prices where normal, an upgrade would be an option, but there's so little pain using PCIe 3, I'm not even willing to upgrade to PCIe 4

How much RAM needed to run JellyFin on the DXP 4800 Plus/Pro

I have a complete Arr stack, Jellyfin, qbit, cross-seed, etc. (13 containers in total) running on the stock 8gb that came with my Pro and it’s sitting at 3gb ram used. Absolutely no issues watching Jellyfin content. Definitely get a cheap 256gb NVMe for an applications drive. Nothing fancy since the

SSD upgrade for Xbox Ally.

You may be able to find a deal on older Gen3 NVMes. I still use one in my desktop PC (Samsung 970 Evo). They'll work in the Ally. Although the Ally ships with a Gen4 from the factory, I can't think of a single PC game that will shit its pants if it runs on anything slower than the slowest Gen4. My d

an new ssd

Hi there! I’m with Dell’s Social Support Team. Thanks for reaching out! The good news is that your Latitude 7480 supports M.2 SSD upgrades, so moving from a 256GB SSD to a 512GB/ 1TB SSD is a great way to give the system some extra life and breathing room. Since you're down to only 7GB of free space

Koje su specifikacije vaseg racunara?

Sve stock. Sklopljen 2023. Do danas

$640 for a 2tb ssd…

Yeah, in short, these are the crème de la crème of SSDs and what every data center and AI slop shop is gunning for. These are basically considered enterprise class devices these days and price reflects it. DRAM cacheless SSDs are a lot more affordable with write penalties that may legitimately cause
