PCIe 5.0 SSDs are overkill, and manufacturers finally realized most people don't need them
I'm still stuck on PCIe 3 with two Samsung 970 Evo plus. I write stuck, but honestly the SSD speed isn't bottlenecking anything. Maybe if prices where normal, an upgrade would be an option, but there's so little pain using PCIe 3, I'm not even willing to upgrade to PCIe 4

How much RAM needed to run JellyFin on the DXP 4800 Plus/Pro
I have a complete Arr stack, Jellyfin, qbit, cross-seed, etc. (13 containers in total) running on the stock 8gb that came with my Pro and it’s sitting at 3gb ram used. Absolutely no issues watching Jellyfin content. Definitely get a cheap 256gb NVMe for an applications drive. Nothing fancy since the

New Purchase - Would You Change Anything?
Thanks! Dumb question for you, if I have a couple of disks from my existing build, would I be able to put one of those in this build in addition? My current two disks are a Samsung 980 Evo Pro 1tb NVME and a Samsung 970 Evo Plus 2tb NVME. I know those would be slower but more storage is more storage

Forza Horizon 6 PC + massive freezes
yeah I tried that, I first had my FH6 game installed on a SATA SSD, I'm now running it from a NVME M.2 PCI gen 3 drive (Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1 TB) and it didn't solve the problem

PCIe 5.0 SSDs are overkill, and manufacturers finally realized most people don't need them
As a PC gamer, I have yet to find any situations where even PCIe 3.0 SSD bandwidth is insufficient. I rock dual 2TB Samsung 970 Evos plus a 4 TB SATA3 SSD, and every single one of my games works fine on either the PCIe 3.0 or the SATA. I have a PCIe 4.0 SSD in my PS5, but only because the system abs

Why are my Steam downloads so slow?
It is a Samsung 970 evo plus 2TB NVME SSD. I bought it 4 years ago. At my old place it was very fast but I was wired.
