Buy WD SN850x 8tb instead. (Almost) half the price and still uses TLC Nand with a dram cache.

Replace the ram and main nvme, 64gb are unnecesarry, 32 is completely fine, and look for a 6000mts CL30 kit instead The SN850X is kinda overkill, no need to overspend on storage, an SN770 is perfectly fine too Also, why intel? You could very easily get a B650 motherboard and a cpu like the 7600, 760

Did some freshening up on my AM4 build. Recently did a new case/AIO/fans, and now the EVGA 3080 has been upgraded to a 4070TiS. Build is dialed in and feels great. Runs cool and quietly. Couldn’t be happier.

$550 for 4TB is insanity considering 1 year ago the SN850X 4TB was $230.

No need to get a Windows key for full price spend that money on other things. Maybe swap the 990 pro with sn850x with slightly cheaper price with similar performance. And get a 850w psu for a bit redundancy just in case. 5070ti and 9800x3d shouldn't use more than 750w though.

On my third day and I’m very impressed with the budget options which I had concerns about going in.
The dock is running 2 displays on extend, a 27” running at 2k 165hz (DP>DP) and a 22” running 1080 at 60hz. It also has great connectivity (see pic) and power pass through to charge my work laptop.

Do your research on the SN850x. It has some weird pausing / freezing issues with high rates of random read/writes. I have one of the 8TB models inside of a ACASIS TB5 case and have experienced these oddities. Just a heads up.
