I had never opened up an electronic or done hardware modding and this was long, long overdue.
Got extremely fed up with my minimal space so I finally pulled the trigger and swapped my SSD. Was surprisingly easy and satisfying. No snapped SD cards here. The hardest part was honestly the fact that m

You don't need to reinstall anything. Just set up Windows normally, run Windows Update repeatedly for about two hours until there is nothing left, then update everything in MyAsus, followed by Armoury Crate. Use it like that for a few days and see how it feels. For Bazzite OS, you can use an externa

Oh, it's pretty easy really: I got a M.2 2230 SSD, which goes up to 2 TB in size currently. And then I also have a 1 TB MicroSD(Technically there's 1.5 TB now so I could squeeze out another 5 hundo but that'd be a hundred bucks for just 500GB and I'm not really thinking that's worth it. I'm kinda ju

For that price range def want to go used for gpu, cpu, and maybe the mobo. Look for an rtx 3080 ~$250, look for ryzen 3000 or newer hopefully in a mobo combo for a good deal, you can still get a wd blue or crucial p310 on amazon for like $80 but act fast, same with ram buy it sooner the better as pr

That’s not true. I think there was a detailed post on this subreddit that explained what to look for in your drives. It’s important to get drives with no DRAM. I am running mine with three 4TB Crucial P310 drives plus three 4TB WD Blue. I am using it as an UnRAID server without issue.

Should be fine. Important is the 2230 length. Alternatively look for a crucial p310 or a wd sn740 or sn770. The ssd swap is not that hard. Look up some tutorials and take your time with it. REMOVE YOUR MICRO SD FIRST.
