I’m a former commercial barista and considered a LM just to reproduce the experience / rituals / feelings I had using pro machines. Entry level stuff like Breville just doesn’t feel the same. But of course there is a world of machines in between that are rewarding to use, look great, make great shot

Went straight to an endgame setup. Nice. I have that same grinder, and so far I like it a lot. I have a Rocket R58, but the Profitec is a great choice, too. Congrats! Edit: I realized my Timemore is the 78s. Still, solid design.

Absolutely go for a something a bit nicer. Fellow makes great products but if you’re buying a machine that should last 15+ years you don’t want something made primarily of plastic. I’ve got an R58 and it’s a workhorse. Bianca is a great option too. Decent is the way to go if you want customization.

I've had my Rocket R58 for 12 years, and the only issue I've had was caused by a smart outlet I had it connected to.

This is one of the reasons Rocket Espresso doesn't recommend descaling yourself. Its hard to completely flush descaler or citric acid out of the system entirely. This is why I took my boilers out of my r58 to descale.
