The Ferrari of Espresso Machines Is Fueling a Hot Resale Market

I’m a former commercial barista and considered a LM just to reproduce the experience / rituals / feelings I had using pro machines. Entry level stuff like Breville just doesn’t feel the same. But of course there is a world of machines in between that are rewarding to use, look great, make great shot

If La Marzocco is the Ferrari of espresso machines, what is your machine like?

Rocket R58... Maybe a Porsche?

Upgrade from Profitec Go - best small dual boiler? [No budget]

I recently upgraded to the Rocket R58 TUNE and would happily recommend it to anyone looking to switch to a dual boiler. It's a beautifully designed machine with some thoughtful features.

Rocket R58 Tune

Personal caveat, I'm a Cinquantotto (v3) owner, so take my esthetic opinions as a fan of the v3, with that... (question A) general thoughts? and (question B) non-Rocket loyalists interest? I have "A" covered below with my observation that the Tune is a mixed bag of incredible with some criticisms. Q

New Rocket Appartemento [$2,200] or used Rancilio Silvia w/PID [~$650]

I was considering the Profitec Go or Lelit Victoria PL91T (you can see it in my post history; I don’t even know anymore if they are only single boiler?), but my girlfriend convinced me to spend more (bless her) to get a HX and steam simultaneously. We drink mostly milk drinks, though, occasionally e

Made a shot bot for my tamp mat

You and I think alike! I started down the path putting a load cell under the top part of the drip tray of my Rocket R58 before chickening out. I'd used one once to hack a tea kettle to send push notifications when it was empty. I found that to be a little fiddly with the cheap-o controllers I was us

Rocket R58 or San Remo Zoe

It depends on your needs. The R58 is single group which is suitable for home use and low volume cafes and the Zoe is double group best for high volume and if you are planning to be long term with your cafe. Both are great in terms of durability and both brands have great after sales service. The Roc

My personal ENDGAME! 🥰 Thanks to YO!

Looks like a sound decision to me. Are you sure your spouse wouldn’t have preferred a Rocket R58 instead - much more shiny 😀. The Silvia X-Pro does everything you need, at a great level of long-term quality. It’s durable, servicable, and you didn’t need to spend your money on high-maintenance polish

Micra versus Mini R - a resource for others considering both

Yeah, I am swapping over from a Rocket R58 because I can't find someone to service it in situ, it weighs a ton so don't want to take it somewhere and (fate worse than death) have no machine for 3 weeks. It's 10 years old, done well so time for an upgrade. Eventually i'll service it myself I guess bu

Quickmill Vetrano 2B

I’ve had my Vetrano 2B Evo for about a month. I have nothing but praise for the machine as well as Chris Coffee. I originally intended to buy the Rocket R58 but extensive research led me to the Vetrano 2B. Same features, smaller footprint, all stainless frame and $600 less to buy. I compared the Vet
