Absolutely go for a something a bit nicer. Fellow makes great products but if you’re buying a machine that should last 15+ years you don’t want something made primarily of plastic. I’ve got an R58 and it’s a workhorse. Bianca is a great option too. Decent is the way to go if you want customization.

Went straight to an endgame setup. Nice. I have that same grinder, and so far I like it a lot. I have a Rocket R58, but the Profitec is a great choice, too. Congrats! Edit: I realized my Timemore is the 78s. Still, solid design.

I've had my Rocket R58 for 12 years, and the only issue I've had was caused by a smart outlet I had it connected to.

Alright I had to think about this for a while and I think it comes down to a series of tradeoffs and mild advantages. To be totally clear and upfront, both the R58 and the LMLM can make excellent espresso. I'm going to try to keep this short, so I'll try to just give a list of differences and why I

While this is basically true, the maraX is not a classic HX machine. It has a quite clever brew-priority PID that has a second temp-sensor in the brewing circle and thus offers good temperature control and lacks the need for cooling-flushes.Is a DB Machine like a RocketR58 better than the mara? Personal caveat, I'm a Cinquantotto (v3) owner, so take my esthetic opinions as a fan of the v3, with that... (question A) general thoughts? and (question B) non-Rocket loyalists interest? I have "A" covered below with my observation that the Tune is a mixed bag of incredible with some criticisms. Q

This is one of the reasons Rocket Espresso doesn't recommend descaling yourself. Its hard to completely flush descaler or citric acid out of the system entirely. This is why I took my boilers out of my r58 to descale.

Your newly-acquired machine has clearly found the right home with you! Give it the loving, you’ll be repaid with great espresso. Always heartening to see someone on this sub “bringing one back to life - bravo and thanks for posting your pics! Similar thing for me (pre-Rocket) - I’d bought a lightly-

Aside from the obvious physical recovery from pregnancy/childbirth and like, not being anxious that everything I do or eat will harm my child, the thing I'm most excited for is probably coffee. I haven't even touched decaf because of the acidity and because I had a massive (previously undiagnosed) I
