I doubt it's that big of a jump. After 4 years with my trusty Eureka Mignon Silenzio (plus single dosing kit) I upgraded to a DF83V. Specifically, I didn't want to move from a 50mm flat burr to a 64mm flat burr because I didn't think the jump would be big enough. Also I thought that the 64mm was soo

I upgraded from Eureka Mignon Silenzio to DF83V. I think it's finally getting seasoned now (two months in). Yes, it tastes better than the Silenzio (much better clarity). I've now taken it apart and run the alignment test on it and was delighted to find that it's perfectly aligned. I'm still not sur

I went from a simple Eureka Mignon Silenzio to this one and mostly enjoy darker roasts. To be honest, my coffee now tastes less chocolatey and nutty, still trying to get the same taste the old grinder gave me.

Yeah, my Eureka Mignon Silenzio has 50mm burrs. The first thing I noticed is that the taste of my coffee really improved after 3 months of this grinder. Oh? You have to "break in" a grinder? Then I saw this youtube about "shimming" my grinder. Wait... you have to shim it? I finally got brave and per

The frustrating thing about a new grinder is that the burrs need to be "seasoned" (had 5 to 10 lbs of coffee thru them) before you really find out what your burrs taste like. I've just upgraded from a Eureka Mignon Silenzio to a Turin DF83V (I'm in it for 2 weeks now). Do the 83mm DLC burrs taste be

I was going to add that you could also tear the Philos apart and check its burr alignment. However all the reviews I've seen of it say that its alignment from the factory is surprisingly good. I just bought a DF83V to replace my trusty Eureka Mignon Silenzio of 4 years. I remember how the flavour wa

That's hard to answer. I think it's great, but I don't have a niche zero to compare it to. After I seasoned my DF83V for a month, I then compared it to my Eureka Mignon Silenzio (50mm flat burrs). I think it pretty much had the same body but the clarity was better. It kinda surprised me. In comparis

I had a Eureka Mignon Silenzio and went to buy a DF83. I did see there are some complaints about its de-clumper and lots of videos about how to clean the chute and the plasma generator. I also didn't like its Wave Spring design... however, I think most of my review of it was before the V2 came out.

I agree with the Breville Bambino Plus. I use it with a Eureka Mignon Silenzio. Perfect coffee every time
