I bought my DF83V last September and love it. I've heard from two others that bought VS6s and they both said they're pleased with their grinder. I bought the silver one. I like its looks but the dial lines are kind of hard to see under the bright kitchen lights. The black is recommended. It took a f

I had read all the buzz about this WDT thing and so I bought one online. It was really nice but had quite large wires. My pours went from "ok" to garbage. I (boldly?) posted a diatribe of how crappy this WDT thing was and got raked over the coals. Hmmm... apparently I was "holding it wrong" or somet

Yep. I’ve definitely screwed up my burr alignment one of the times I deep cleaned my Eureka Mignon Silenzio, because I can’t seem to grind fine enough for my 18gram basket anymore…I’m stuck using my 22g basket recently. I just need to suck it up and do the full burr calibration alignment and properl

The Breville machines are only worth it for the Bambino, and questionably the Barista Express. If you get into espresso, the grinder included on the Barista Express will eventually serve as a brick wall in your espresso journey. I used to have one, and then upgraded to a Profitec Pro 500 and a Eurek

...I don’t care about speed; I just want top-notch quality. IMO the only reason to choose a hand grinder is to get the price down. Otherwise, day by day, month by month, year by year, you'll rue the day you made that choice over "pushing a button". My favourite grinders today are the Turin line up, alt

On our espresso journey, we started with Keurig and Nespresso. We thought we really liked coffee so we bought the (very expensive) Breville Oracle, all in one machine - especially so my wife could use its automated features, as she wanted "a coffee, not a project". I really like the idea of the mach

I had an Eureka Mignon Silenzio for 4 years. It's built like a truck and gave good service. I put a Single Doser kit on it after the 1st year. Recently I decided to upgrade my grinder, and decided to keep to a Single Doser. However, I wanted to skip over the 64mm burr sized grinders in order to get

Re Grinder: decide first if you want to Single Dose or use a Hopper instead. This choice divides grinders into two categories. People like hopper style because it's the easiest, with the least amount of fuss. People like Single Dosers because it allows them to keep their (expensive) beans away from
