If you don't mind turning the crank yourself, you can get incredible value from a manual grinder. I have a 1zpresso J-Ultra, and I'm so happy with it. Easy to clean, grinds 18g coffee in about 30 seconds, 8 micron adjustment means I can dial in any coffee to its sweet spot. Plus it is very quiet fir

used gaggia classic pro is prob the best bang for buck imo. built like a tank, easy to mod later if u get obsessed, and holds resale value. paired with a decent grinder it’ll easily give you real espresso without spending breville dual boiler money. for something simpler, the breville bambino or bam

This machine, like most espresso machines, is very dependent on having a precise grind size. There is a very slim chance that you are going to get to that grind size using pre ground coffee. You really should get your own grinder for espresso. I started with a nice, inexpensive hand grinder from 1Zp

For quiet, nothing beats a manual grinder. I have the same issue as you, I'm up early and don't want to wake the whole house. Take the same budget you have for an electric grinder and get a 1zpresso. I was very wary of hand grinders before. I had a Hario Skerton, which is clumsy and primitive compar

To me it looks like you need to grind finer. If your grinder is already on its lowest / finest setting then it's time for a new grinder. Same thing happened to me. I didn't want to buy another electric grinder because it's just me that uses it on my household I went with the 1zpresso J ultra manual

It’s certainly a mighty combo, but I don’t think it’s peak espresso per dollar. My idea of peak espresso per dollar is a Cafelat Robot or Flair, paired with an 1Zpresso J Ultra or a Kinu M47.(The prices for the Flairs vary dramatically. Until recently, there were offers for a new Flair 58 for 399€;

I don’t know if you’d be into a manual grinder, but I was getting dizzy looking at all of the electric options and I am just a humble guy making himself a latte every morning. I went with a manual grinder for now, the 1ZPresso J-Ultra. Very happy with it.

Manual espresso machine? Manual grinder. 1ZPresso J Ultra isn’t eye wateringly expensive, and the combination makes great espresso. At least for my tastes.

Coffee grinders for espresso range from $100USD to $4000USD. Cheapest one's will be hand grinders and given your working on a De'Longhi Dedica EC685 -- You are in the budget range of espresso. Look into hand grinders, it'll take 30+ seconds & a bit of an arm workout but you'll get a good cup of espr
