I am finding the 64GB M4 Pro mac mini pretty useful however on planning -> coding skills it still sucks relative to frontier models hosted in datacenters. I guess I'm weird and irregular... I upgraded from an M1 Max Mac Studio to an M4 Pro Mac mini and love it. I'm able to emulate games in RPCS3 at higher resolutions with better FPS. The CPU improvements are noticeable. I also have an M4 MacBook Air but I find myself using my Mac mini much, much more.

Everyone thinks 10 plugins per track on a 50 track session is normal. If you need all that then it’s time to start freezing tracks.

You think that’s bad? I tried using Starlight Mini to upscale a single 480p TV episode to 4K, on an M4 Pro Mac mini with maxed out specs… the ETA was 2 months.
