What Mini PC is best for gaming?

Something with the Ryzen 780m or 890m integrated graphics & that has a oculink or USB4/thunderbolt port My vote is the Gmktec k8 plus it has been a little powerhouse for me it plays most games med-high settings 1080p 50-60fps and with the oculink port you can buy a eGPU dock and graphics card down t

Just for Show?

I almost bought one. The little screen just screams fun but when it came down to it, I just saved the money and got a GMKTEC K8 plus. The reviews for this unit rightly point out that it's really hard to do anything useful with the screen - the scaling isn't very good. The port layout on the G flip i

What is the best minipc brand now widely loved on the market? (Beelink, AceMagic, Geekom, GMKtec, Minisforum, Aoostar)

Went through this recently. Reading through Reddit and other forums I found Beelink and GMKtec where the most popular and Beelink seemed to have the best customer service. Geekom is new yet has a strong following. People seem to have the most quality and customer service problems with Minisforum, Ac

A Core i9 PC for $539?! The Beelink SEi13 Pro is Insane.

With a 115W MTP, underpowered when compared to AMD 4nm 35-54W cTDP offering, underperforming Iris Xe integrated graphics, and microphones & speaker not easily deleted. 32GB of LPDDR5 RAM was almost a nice touch, although it was reduced from 6400MT/s to 6000MT/s for some undetermined reason. $419 Aoo

Are Docked Mini PC + External GPU Setups Actually Worth It?

Yes and no. If you have a Oculink connection the loss of frames is marginal, via thunderbolt it is noticeable. I had a GMKTec K8 plus with a 5070TI connected via Oculink and it was amazing and now connected via pcie directly the performance in most of the games are maybe 5-7 fps so not much more.

Recommend a bare bones DDR5 based MiniPC

I have the GMKtec K8 Plus I'm very happy with! Haven't seen problems with any Linux distros. Has dual Intel i226V 2.5GbE NIC, dual 2280 Gen4x4 M.2 slots and OCuLink for x4 PCIe projects or a 3rd Gen4x4 NVMe. https://amzn.eu/d/0eLEfAnN

Which one should I get for gaming?

I got the gmktec k8 plus and I'm honestly suprised by how much of a beast the 780M is while being really quiet. With 32 GB and 1 TB it was 590 euros for me. It plays halo infinite at a stable flawless 60 fps, GTA V, RDR2 and PEAK all above 80 fps at not the lowest settings even. CPU and GPU never go
