What are your thoughts about games getting negative reviews because they're incompatible with steamdeck?

If the thing says steam deck supported in the checks and has tons of issues then its fair imho. But not this

This is NOT verified. It’s a slide show 😭😭😭😭does verified mean anything anymore?

The game is verified to launch at 10fps haha If you change some settings it can be a little better but should not be verified for sure. Changing from "quality" default graphics to "performance". Should absolutely have been the default Steam deck settings BEFORE it was verified, as an absolute bare m

What are your thoughts about games getting negative reviews because they're incompatible with steamdeck?

this would be my thought, if the game says Steam Deck verified and it doesn't play well then it deserves that negative review. A game just not working and doesn't claim to is a whole other thing.

How often do you use your Steam Deck at home when you already have a gaming PC?

A lot, but I think the people that get the most use are husbands and dads. For example my wife likes to hang out upstairs and not feel so disconnected so we can talk still. Steam deck is great for this and progressing single player games.

What do you think the SD is lacking? / What's your biggest complaint about it?

Another USB C port would be awesome. And better hardware of course, so I can also play new AAA games. And not really related to the deck it self but the steam shop kinda sucks on the deck.

I am afraid I can't do that, Dave

Unless you put in the steam launch option to pretend your PC is a steam deck. Then a lot of games will cooperate lol.

Skate hits 100K players on Steam

It's insane to me it doesn't have Steam Deck/Linux support. It's the perfect device for it.

Linux smashes past 5% on the Steam Survey for the first time

The SteamDeck made see that it is possible to run games perfectly fine on linux. It was the one thing that kept me on Windows. I made the switch with my desktop 3 weeks ago, I installed Nobara and haven't looked back since.

So Disney is using Steam Deck to control animatronics

Steam decks seem to be very multipurpose controllers on top of being game devices, just purely because at their heart they're portable PC's that come with linux. Pretty sure Ukrainians use them to control armored vehicles
