This is my work computer. I do miss my 27" iMac Pro. This M4 Mac mini is superior to even that beast of an Intel Mac in basically every other way but the form factor.

Is it realistic to use a Mac mini as a “portable” (carrying in a backpack + daily plugging/unplugging)?

What's the most trusthworthy MiniPC brand?

M4 Mac Mini. Price match at Best Buy online against Apple’s education discount for $499. You can even request to pick it up same day. Hard to beat for that price. That or have first hand experience with beelink brand and they work great if you need a windows device.
