Size comparison small cine rig vs. broadcast setup. Thought you might like this.
Lol. An A7SIII is not a cine rig.

wth C300 mk III for 2999. automatically bought. crazy how quickly prices dropped.
Canon was much slower and did a lot less than Sony to jump into the "content creator" game. Had Canon provided an FX3 equivalent around the same time as Sony did they alot more people would have been shooting Canon for video now. The A7S3/FX3 did more to hook people into the Sony ecosystem than all

Full circle, FX3 to S1 II then back to FX3.
This is interesting. I used to have a Sony A7SIII and today I have two S5IIX. For me, aside from the autofocus, everything else is much better on the Lumix, even though it’s considered a “lower” camera. The colors are better and more pleasing. The codec is very easy to work with. Skin tones are bett

I used a Sony A7Siii to film it all and it takes great pics too. The gentleman in the right owns the camera these were taken on and I’ll reply with the model when I text him for it for ya!

Looking to upgrade to a camera that can shoot 4k 60.
Let me once again get up on my soapbox and preach the gospel of the ZV-E1... Exact same sensor and processor as the A7SIII and the FX3 in a much smaller, lighter and cheaper body. 4K60P with no crop, 4K120p with an APSC crop, amazing low light capabilities, 4:2:2 10bit codecs and really excellent AI

How can I achieve this film look w/ my A7SIII?
The lenses will definitely shape the look, especially that soft quality. But I'd say the art direction and lighting are the main factors here. Practice those. Look at the contrast ratio between highlights and shadows on their faces. Where did they place the lights? In post, use grading to bring to l

A7V - Discussion
Hmm nikon and lumix seem more relevant in a number of ways. Sony is still all about a7siii and fx3/6.

A7siii in 2025/September
I use it all the time, I’m shooting commercials, pilots, films and music videos with it. The A7siii will be good for another 10years. Some scenes of a music video I just shot on a GH4. Dude this camera shoots 4k 120fps 422 at night… what more do u need this camera to do? Get it and go have fun! 🤩

Cinematic motion purists
Not sure this is a 'purist' point of view, just a practical experienced shooter point of view. All this gimbal wank and rig bro's showing their 'gear' with all these useless addons a single shooter doesn't need. V-mount batteries so they can power the cheap monitor, a mattebox but no proper filters
