Alpha 7S III

Looking at just numbers, it's not worth it. Honestly look at the numbers, $30/hr x 5hrs = $150. The cost of renting from your local camera store, the most newest camera (canon r5 or sony a7siii) is about that much or likely higher. You're basically working for fun or loss.

Canon was much slower and did a lot less than Sony to jump into the "content creator" game. Had Canon provided an FX3 equivalent around the same time as Sony did they alot more people would have been shooting Canon for video now. It’s plenty, i’ve shot wedding photography with the a7siii. Rarely in editing did I miss having more detail in cropping. You will be completely fine with the one camera.

If you like having a viewfinder, get the a7siii. If viewfinder doesn’t matter to you, the fx3 has more advanced cooling and built in mounting threads so you don’t need a cage to add accessories. I went with a7siii mainly because of the viewfinder, and I love it. Never had a problem with overheating

Been saying this for years now. There is no upgrade for the FX3. It’s like upgrading a hammer. A hammer does what it’s supposed to do. They offered a better screen with the FX3a. There’s nowhere for the A7SIII/FX3/FX6 to go. That 12MP sensor is very specific and special.

That’s unfortunate. I have 2 a7siii cams as well as a fx3 for weddings. I’ve shot hour long ceremonies in the heat and my a7siii cams have never overheated. I wonder if you just got a faulty cam. Do you have your heat shut off set at the highest temp? I know that’s frustrating to buy an unreliable c
