Am I insane for using D-Pad
Nah I use a SEGA Saturn controller for ring racers, D-pad is completely fine if you’re used to it. Stick can be useful in some scenarios but that’s what the lite steer setting is for I guess

What's the opinion on this controller?
If it had 6 buttons I might like it more than the Sega Saturn controller. That controller can substitute for any arcade stick.

Maria Mode experience on Sega Saturn
The real problem is the Sega Saturn CONTROLLER. The thing was NOT made for these kinds of inputs. Still a lot of fun with her though, definitely prefer this one over DXC.

I have some trouble while playing fighter games with either analog stick or dpad
There are controllers with an octagonal analog stick gate. This helps you keep track of the analog stick. The Hori Fighting Commander Octa is one such controller, however the position of the stick is where you have the d-pad on the xbox controller, so you might not find it comfortable. There are als

The only downside is when navigating the ui the

Made the transition from stick to leverless
I've only grabbed 2 sega saturn style controllers because the rest had god awful reviews. One was the sega saturn pro controller from retro bit. The buttons are good, but the dpad just sucks ass. It's so stiff. It's legitimately uncomfortable to use for any actual games, even just regular ass rpg's

Who here plays with an arcade stick?
I’ve been playing on stick since the early SF4 days. I preferred it since I played in my local arcade as a kid and playing on an Xbox 360 controller sucked back then. I do like using pads that are similar to a Sega Saturn controller but trying to switch to a pad nowadays is cumbersome as I need thos

RetroFighters BattlerGC Wireless Gamepad Won't Connect to Ubuntu
I have a similar issue with an official Sega Saturn controller (USB)... It defaults to Switch inputs when it's plugged by the time an OS is initialized (not only Linux, also Windows). The one way I figured to fix is just unplug and plug it back (so I bought a USB hub with power switches per slot), t
