2nd Gen Sega Saturn controller is probably the best for fighting games. Best d-pad ever produced, and you get 6 face buttons for the capcom and snk beat-em-ups. And the convexing/concaving of the top/bottom row is an incredibly under-appreciated quirk. There’s some great modern wireless reproduction

Kinda disappointed

Ive been using a Sega Saturn controller for about the last 20 years. Ive tried other 6 button pads but none of them are as good IMO for fighting games.

What's the opinion on this controller?

If it had 6 buttons I might like it more than the Sega Saturn controller. That controller can substitute for any arcade stick.

recommendation about controllers

8Bitdo M30 2.4ghz (or xbox edition if you want the Xbox compatibility) imo has the best dpad I've used and a good 6 button layout. It's basically a sega saturn controller. Cheap too.

Is anybody actually playing their odin portal in docked mode? Which controller do you use and why?

I use the retro bit sega Saturn controller, I use it because the 6-button layout works perfectly for genesis, sega cd, sega 32x, sega Saturn, and n64 while the 4 shoulder buttons and dual analogs still allows it to work great for all PlayStation games. The only downside is when navigating the ui the

Any suggestions for a Dpad?

I use retro-bit sega saturn 2.4ghz review The biggest weakest IMO is that your hands get sweaty and make the controller dirty playing fighting game with it. The warmth comes from the wireless part, and the small surface doesn't really dissipate heat well (then your hand gets active in fighting games

Question about controls in Panzer Dragoon 1

I prefer the 3D control pad because I can just switch to D-pad for an older Saturn game and the controller feels more comfortable than the model 1 and 2 standard controllers. In short, the 3D control pad just feels like the most complete Sega Saturn controller.

Does this config exist?

I agree, back buttons/shoulder buttons is workable, it would be really nice to have a bit more variety for those outside of the US/Japan who were in sega dominated areas. Also there is a pad with the configuration, I found it a while ago the Retro-Bit SEGA Saturn pad has a sega style layout with 2 s

Thoughts on this controller?

This type of controller would make sense on the PS1, since the Sega Saturn controller is already great for fighting games with its 6 face buttons and excellent d-pad.

Any controllers with C buttons the same size?

Maybe a Sega Saturn controller if you can find an adapter for that.
