Hi there, have you looked into the RetroBit sega saturn controller? It's a carbon copy of the official Saturn pad that can be used with the Polymega. I bought one for my Satirn games and it works a treat!

You should get a Psuedo Saturn Kai cartridge, you can get one for cheap and it will allow you to play Burnt Discs and Imports. Pads with cross d-pads are generally not great for this. Circular d-pads are much better at this. Anything modelled after the Sega Saturn controller tends to be good.

Nah I use a SEGA Saturn controller for ring racers, D-pad is completely fine if you’re used to it. Stick can be useful in some scenarios but that’s what the lite steer setting is for I guess

Ive been using a Sega Saturn controller for about the last 20 years. Ive tried other 6 button pads but none of them are as good IMO for fighting games.
