I ran some test shoots with my X100V and the S5IIX and have to say that, even with F-Log, the footage already looks remarkably similar. I then converted the X100V F-Log material to F-Log2 using a Color Space Transform (CST) (which likely introduced some color shifts, as the X100V doesn't natively su

I wouldn't say it's video first. It's just that Lumix actually gave you the video features required to fully utilize the capabilities of the camera. The competition often kneecapped their cameras by treating video as a gimmick. Even on Sony cameras, which were popular for video and had capable hardw

I just switched to the canon r6 mkiii but I use Panasonic s5iix’s at my job. I guess I’m an idiot because I assumed all camera manufacturers have good ibis now but the Canon ibis is fucking dog shit. Almost unusable for video. I really was spoiled by Panasonic.

I switched from Sony (a7r5, a1) to Panasonic last year. Picked up the s5iix and a few lenses. I fell in love with video on that camera, and for photos is was pretty good, but nothing I would write home about coming from those two Sony bodies. I’ve since purchased the s9 (which I love for a small wal

My S5IIX is my main webcam with the Lumix 18mm. I use the official dummy battery from Panasonic with HDMI into my Elgato. It's never failed me yet. I'm sure you could use the program to make it work if you want to cut out the capture card component, but if your streaming for a long time I'd recommen

Some thoughts as a full time videographer who has shot weddings in the past: I have the r6 mk3. I do not recommend it as a video-only camera. I bought it to be my hybrid body to complement my c70. If you want a video-focused body within the canon ecosystem, your only decent opinions are R5C, C70, C8

Panasonic Id say. If you like the GH4, just stick with it. So much QOL over Sony, it’s not even close. If you REALLY need that little extra AF at the cost of worse screen, stab, recording options, worse menus, etc… well that’s up to you. I have an S5iix and a GH5, at work we use FX3s. Even though th

I'd say it's still an issue, but an issue I'm willing to deal with personally. I basically went from fs7 to fx6 to s5iix to s1ii (the fx6/fs7 was my daily for an old job and they let me use for my own stuff) Before using the s5iix I rarely used an external monitor so the panasonics are the first tim

I'm so glad you like them! Comparing the A1 and S5IIX is like comparing apples to oranges, honestly. I no longer shoot with the A1 but when I did I used it specifically for aviation photography. The burst speed on the A1 is the best I've used for capturing high speed action. One thing that surprised

Well, I don't think I necessarily "solved it", but hopefully I pointed you in the right direction regarding where the problem comes from and hopefully how to avoid it. I think you should try recording via USB-C, take the SD cards out, and see if it still happens. I've had my S5iiX for about two year
