I don't have the GH7, but I've got an S5iix. While I do love the camera and I knew that L mount lenses weren't quite as available as some of the competition (Sony in particular), I do feel like the amount of lenses available and the price of them is at least a bit more detrimental than I thought. I don't understand what Lumix was thinking with the release of the S9 without a small quality prime for the camera. If they had released S9 with a small quality 28mm or 40mm f/2.8 prime, sales would have went through the roof. The S9 was not a fit without that small prime to hang my hat on. Bloggers

I just, (as of yesterday,) purchased the S5IIX directly from Panasonic. It is currently on sale for about $2100 for the kit with the 20-60mm lens. I used the welcome 10% off email on top of the sale that is already going on, and to my surprise, the 10% came off the original price and not the discoun

I moved on from Fujifilm last year and primarily use Panasonic Lumix now (S5IIX and S1RII). Quick thoughts off the top of my head: The IBIS is so much better. No weird wide-angle wobbles and no jerky corrections during camera movements. I love the color science. Fujifilm has great colors too and thi

I really like street photography the most, so I took the S Pro 16-35mm out for a spin wit

It's always great to hear another person's experiences. Speaking specifically of native lenses (since I don't dive much into third-party due to color rendering), I think you've highlighted the main issue with Panasonic/Lumix, which is consistency. Their lenses can be excellent, but their quality con

I picked up photography last December in my mid 40s and I chose Panasonic Lumix S5iix because of the features vs. price for photography AND video using L-Mount lenses from multiple brands. I come from the software world, and open source has helped so many projects leap forward, and I feel like a mou

Howdy!! I'm like you, blessed with good deals on used panasonic gear (S1/S5iix and S9) !!! If you are not rushed in time, I would say wait to have a good deal on the panasonic prime lenses. I got their 50 and 85mm on the cheap, so I paid a third party price for a native lens (especially if I compare
