Yep. I have the Osprey 26+6 as my main bag. (I was given a few others over the years) I leave it unexpanded. The bag itself is delightfully light

Osprey 26+6. Most of my travel is a for a few days or weekend trips and it’s light weight and packs great. I also rarely travel with my laptop so the simple sleeve is perfect for my iPad.

This is excellent advice. My first one bag trip was awful. My back killed me, my bag was way too large and hard to lug around a city. My teen and I learned our lesson and downsides to an Osprey 26+6

It may be perfect on paper, but fail once it’s fully packed. I just learned that my fully packed but unexpanded Osprey 26+6 is simply too heavy for my senior body, so I reluctantly dumped its contents into a Travelpro rollaboard.

For me, personally it is so worth the weight and space. But, it does take up the space where I could put an extra pair of sneakers or other shoes. That’s a trade-off I have to be willing to make. I am very careful on my shoe/clothing choices in order to fit the pillow. I also don’t typically fly on

I have the osprey 26+6 and cpp2. I enjoyed the cpp2 much better for travel in my recent trip. Way more comfortable bag. But the osprey is light and holds more. But I just overpacked it because of the extra space and didn’t need the space I was using. A few times I did wish the cpp2 was a bit bigger

I agree with this assessment. I don’t use the bag often because I find the tech panel is useless for my needs (strictly leisure travel, no electronics except for my phone, charging cable, and power bank) and adds unnecessary weight. I find packing the Cotopaxi Allpa and Osprey 26+6L much easier too.
