Does this bag even exist??

There’s a reason why diligent bag researchers so frequently choose the Osprey 26+6. It’s really an awesome lightweight bag, especially if you travel with an ipad, or mini ipad and don’t need a computer. The computer sleeve is also convenient for travel documents or thin magazines like The New Yorker

Is 40L with the intention to buy quite a bit of souvenirs enough for 3 months in Europe?

This is excellent advice. My first one bag trip was awful. My back killed me, my bag was way too large and hard to lug around a city. My teen and I learned our lesson and downsides to an Osprey 26+6

Guilty pleasure or luxury item?

For me, personally it is so worth the weight and space. But, it does take up the space where I could put an extra pair of sneakers or other shoes. That’s a trade-off I have to be willing to make. I am very careful on my shoe/clothing choices in order to fit the pillow. I also don’t typically fly on

mom bag?!

My son is 3. I have come to really like travel/hiking bags for their light weight and compressible size. I use a Cotopaxi 16L for my day trip bag, we don’t carry a bag normally, and I will probably be buying another Osprey 26+6 as a diaper bag for travel (baby #2 on the way). I use one currently as

Backpacking with only Carry on

Yep. I have the Osprey 26+6 as my main bag. (I was given a few others over the years) I leave it unexpanded. The bag itself is delightfully light

What’s the best travel backpack you’ve actually used and loved?

Osprey 26+6. Most of my travel is a for a few days or weekend trips and it’s light weight and packs great. I also rarely travel with my laptop so the simple sleeve is perfect for my iPad.

Tortuga Travel Backpack 40L Lite on a 6 day trip Review

I started one bagging around 21 lb with a 40ish L duffel, so congrats on starting your journey! Personally, I had to pare down to 12-13 lbs, because even 15 lbs was uncomfortable. I would rather shower wash my clothes nightly than deal with the pain from a heavy bag.For week long trips, if it’s warm

Does this bag even exist??

I agree with this assessment. I don’t use the bag often because I find the tech panel is useless for my needs (strictly leisure travel, no electronics except for my phone, charging cable, and power bank) and adds unnecessary weight. I find packing the Cotopaxi Allpa and Osprey 26+6L much easier too.

The 26+6 Problem: Too Much Bag for Too Little Weight

While it doesn't work for my needs as it's slightly larger and heavier than the Osprey Daylite 26+6, it's a good-looking bag and a good value at under $100.

Briggs & Riley Large Cargo Backpack as Personal Item

This one? https://www.briggs-riley.com/products/large-cargo-backpack-1. The specs are 18.75 x 16 x 8.75 in / 47.6 x 40.6 x 22.2 cm, 3.6 lbs / 1.6 kg. Air Canada person item limits: 16 x 33 x 43 cm (6 x 13 x 17 inches). That’s a fail on 3/3 dimensions and it’s as heavy as a Farpoint 40. Thr issue is
