Osprey 26+6/IKEA Rensare appreciation post

Picture is an Osprey 26+6 (old style) with the IKEA Rensare packing cube set to show how well they fit together when not overpacked.

Your bag is perfect except for "that one thing" - what is it?

Osprey 26+6 It just needs an inner zip pocket which you can reach from the top zippers

The 26+6 Problem: Too Much Bag for Too Little Weight

Congrats on slimming down your packing list! I do summer travel in 16-20L and save the 26+6 for cool weather trips too. I got the Osprey day lite tote pack in the same colour as my 26+6. I like it despite not having the clamshell opening. I found a packing cube that fits perfectly and it works good.

A nice touch I noticed unboxing my Osprey 26+6

Lots of folks here talk about how excessive seems having 3 pen pockets on the Osprey 26+6 and/or how to modify/hack it to remove (at least) one pocket and gain more space for a passport or whatevs. Well, I just got my Osprey with only 2 pen pockets! 🙌🏼

Osprey Daylight 26+6 vs Patagonia Micro MLC for 4 day trip

I have not used the Patagonia. I have the Osprey 26+6. I use it all the time. Since my home airport is small I usually fly with a rolling under seater sized bag and my Osprey 26+6 to avoid being gate checked. My work trips typically last 5-6 days. I am able to fit my laptop, work documents, one pair

Guilty pleasure or luxury item?

Travel pillow. Not a neck pillow, but a smaller regular foam pillow. Takes up about 1/3 of my Osprey 26+6 and totally worth it.

Osprey Daylite 26+6 mod to fit passport/Field Notes

S/o u/travelingpostgrad for the comment that inspired me to do this. It seems like overkill to have 3 pen holders, and that was also taking away from the functionality of the front pocket. Just a quick couple snips, and the pocket now fits a passport or Field notes. https://imgur.com/gallery/osprey-

Does this bag even exist??

There’s a reason why diligent bag researchers so frequently choose the Osprey 26+6. It’s really an awesome lightweight bag, especially if you travel with an ipad, or mini ipad and don’t need a computer. The computer sleeve is also convenient for travel documents or thin magazines like The New Yorker

Patagonia Micro MLC review

On the contrary, I applaud the removal of the mostly useless, heavy laptop compartment. It's good to see a serious alternative to the Osprey 26+6, which maximises load capacity in a true underseat format. Yet they should have left a small external pocket for a 500ml water bottle or umbrella.

First OneBag Trip to Asia with Osprey 26+6

Finding a good spot for my passport was really difficult for me. I wish there was something like a hidden compartment that the almond oak pack has. For the osprey 26+6 though, I might leave it in the laptop compartment but risk it getting bent by my laptop. I also plan to keep it in my daypack but I
