Help with shot adjustment
Shot too fast, grind finer, too slow, grind coarser. Remember, a change in grind size takes two times three shots before it fully appears in the cup due to grinder retention. Don't use the recommendation, even Ninja say "... If you wish to follow..." not that you must follow. I would definitely use

Pro or Luxe?
They are all called Ninja Luxe Café, then there is the:- ES501 Essential ES601/ES655 Premiere/Costco variant ES701 Pro I had two Pro's. If I was to buy one again, which I won't, I'd go for the ES601/ES655 as the Integrated tamper on the Pro is just one of its Achilles heel's. Through many months of

Ratio not correct on the luxe pro.
That's the issue with the Ratio Fault, inconsistent amounts of water being dispensed, but it's important to rule out other issues, for me the most important of these being puck prep. As I said earlier I had two 701's and during my research to make sure the issues I was having weren't me, puck prep c

Share the good and the bad
I had the ES701 until it went faulty. Coming from a nespresso style machine, it was not compatible for me. Though there was lots of fun when you were in the mood to dial in shots and steam milk and make latte art, for me, ultimately it was a PITA in the mornings. I used fresh beans from a local roas

Gonna buy one of these, what all equipment do I need outside of his machine?
For my Ninja Luxe Café setup, I purchased a coffee mat to place under the machine to catch any water that spills from the overflow container, a knock box for used pucks, puck screens, espresso cleaning tablets, and a vacuum-sealed storage container to keep my coffee beans fresher for longer. I also

Bottomless portafilter
I have the es701, pro. I got this one, https://www.amazon.com/Bottomless-Portafilter-Ninja-Luxe-Compatible/dp/B0FH9BGQML/ because of a promo for their aluminum funnel https://www.amazon.com/Portafilter-Funnel-Ninja-Luxe-Cafe/dp/B0F8VJHNVN/ for free. 2.5 issues: The handle is screwed on so the metal

This thing is a huge grind waster. Not worth the headache or the time.
My ES701 Pro US version has been working fine so far. Test with the double shot basket. I would agree to call Ninja support. As a double check for med beans the grind is generally between 8-12 for the double shot basket, but each machine is different. A kitchen scale helps. Double check you are gett

Beans
Absolutely, I use one all the time on my Meraki, but a puck screen will not stop channeling, it'll help. One of the selling points of the ES701 was the integrated tamper, after Barista Assist (BA), it is the worst invention known to the coffee machine world. I know, I had two of them. Let me try and

Advice needed bambino plus upgrade [$1200]
I would go for a Ninja Luxe Cafe. Its 600$, will weigh your grinds and you tamp, will guide you if your shots run too fast or too slow, has automatic milk frothing and in built water dispenser. Its the perfect wife machine. You will have to make some trade offs when you want convenience, thats just

Will this end my Starbucks addiction?
Most important element is fresh Roasted On date beans, rather than shop bought beans with a year shelf life, as you've got to ask what are they doing to the beans to get them to last that long. Ninja recommend fresh beans. Go for the ES701, more programs, bigger milk jug and steamer and integrated t
