Factual DF54 report: repeated chute clogging with dark roast espresso

Yeah from factory DF54 worked fine only for light and medium roast coffee and for Dark Roast it was clumping pretty hard Miicoffee thankfully mailed Metal De-clumper along with a chute upgrade for the ionizer and I am not seeing this issue for the past 4months since the upgrade. One more thing to en

About to buy df54 - concerning reviews on amazon.

Love my DF54 and use a metal catch cup. I just use the bellows thoroughly for each dose and clean the shoot 1-2x a month and it’s great I do recommend 2-3 spritzes of water as RDT and haven’t had any issues. Enjoy your grinder Fwiw, I bought via MiiCoffee and they did a good job

Turin DF54 from Alibaba?

The DF54 is a white label product. Could be ‘Turin,’ ‘MiiCoffee’ or ‘DF Grinders’ they’re all the same product from the same factory. I doubt you’re getting a ‘knock off,’ it’s just probably unbranded or something other than ‘Turin.’ The bigger issues I see are after-sales support and power compatib

Best coffee grinder under ~[$250]

FWIW we use the Baratza Encore ESP for double duty, both filter and espresso, and it handles it like a champ. No complaints. It's nice and compact and it looks stylish. There's a bit of retention, so use the hopper lid as a bellows to purge the burrs when you're done grinding. My personal belief is

DF54 is high maintenance

I have recently received a DF54 from mii coffee and had major clogging issues. They reached out and provided a video detailing adjusting the metal declumper (I have the V3) which I now believe I mistakenly bent outward too much without knowing what I was doing. Anyway, got the adjustment made which

DF54 / Eureka Mignon Classic Manuale / ESP Encore [$350]

I had a DF54. It was amazing for about 6 months. Then it clogged non stop. MiiCoffee was not helpful at all. Basically blamed “user error”. I’d stay away from that.

WARNING: Do NOT buy from df64coffee.com — Refused warranty and literally DOXXED me.

I wholeheartedly agree with this recommendation. Here is my experience with them: I purchased a DF64v3 in early January. I paid for the SSP burrs. They processed the order as a DF54 which I did not want. When I emailed customer service they said “All sales final.” I went back and forth with them abo

Grinder [$200-$250]

If you go df54 route, order from MiiCoffee. They are in Washington, have good customer service, and I think they get the priority picks from assembly factory because the quality control seems better than what I’ve heard with turin

Any suggestions on grinders that won’t break the bank? [$200]

The DF series of grinders are "white label" products sold by a number of different "brands". The common ones seem to be Turin, MiiCoffee and DF64Coffee. This is an Amazon (Canada) link to a DF64Coffee branded DF54: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0D965M7BL?ref_=cm_sw_r_cso_cp_apan_dp_V3X0TMB12J28NF12SP25 Personal

Got my new-to-me Breville Dual Boiler for $950 CAD! How did I do?

They’re the same thing. It’s a Chinese grinder that is white labeled and released under different names out side of China. Same as the DF54. It’s also part of why it’s good value but there’s the same local after sales support concerns as the DF54. So pick the distributor/brand you trust more. As far
