About to buy df54 - concerning reviews on amazon.

Love my DF54 and use a metal catch cup. I just use the bellows thoroughly for each dose and clean the shoot 1-2x a month and it’s great I do recommend 2-3 spritzes of water as RDT and haven’t had any issues. Enjoy your grinder Fwiw, I bought via MiiCoffee and they did a good job

Best Budget Grinder [$200]

Maybe not preference, but from what I've gathered from my recent purchase is that you can get an S-tier manual grinder for the price of a C-tier or D-tier electric grinder And the cost of entry is much lower. The cheapest reliable electric grinder option seems to be a Baratza Encore ESP ($200 USD),

Turin DF54 from Alibaba?

The DF54 is a white label product. Could be ‘Turin,’ ‘MiiCoffee’ or ‘DF Grinders’ they’re all the same product from the same factory. I doubt you’re getting a ‘knock off,’ it’s just probably unbranded or something other than ‘Turin.’ The bigger issues I see are after-sales support and power compatib

Best coffee grinder under ~[$250]

FWIW we use the Baratza Encore ESP for double duty, both filter and espresso, and it handles it like a champ. No complaints. It's nice and compact and it looks stylish. There's a bit of retention, so use the hopper lid as a bellows to purge the burrs when you're done grinding. My personal belief is

DF54 vs Eureka Mignon, which to buy? Budget [<£350]

I had a DF54 for about 2 months. Every week it would completely clog (using rdt and hot starting, bellows pumping…) and I would have to disassemble it. Definitely not what I wanted to do in the mornings before I had any coffee. Although it’s an entry grinder, I want a $230 grinder to function consis

Grinder [$200-$250]

If you go df54 route, order from MiiCoffee. They are in Washington, have good customer service, and I think they get the priority picks from assembly factory because the quality control seems better than what I’ve heard with turin

Any suggestions on grinders that won’t break the bank? [$200]

The DF series of grinders are "white label" products sold by a number of different "brands". The common ones seem to be Turin, MiiCoffee and DF64Coffee. Help me choose

Auto tamping seems kind of….stupid to me. Tamping essentially is just pressing down on the coffee, and generally requires no more than 30lb of pressure so really most people shouldn’t physically struggle with it. The tricky part comes more from having the coffee grounds distributed/spread properly b

First time Everything, any advice helps [USD $1200 for both]

If you want to it up a tad more and don’t mind the counter space, I just saw that the T64 grinder is currently on sale on Amazon for $320. It’s a 64mm flat burr rather than the 54mm in the DF54 so it’s a bit more future rabbit hole proof if you want to get into the world of swapping out burrs. T64 i

DF54 or GF64? [$300] cad

These grinders are all built to a price point for sale domestically in China as well, so I like evaluating them based on their Chinese price bracket. Even then, the DF54 is positioned as a more premium grinder than the GF64, though just barely. Actually kind of interesting since these grinders are s
