Bambino Plus found, now need grinder [$500]

I can't recommend something in the Eureka Mignon line enough. I have a Libra, but many below grind the same. Their product line is too complicated and it changes every year, I'm pretty sure to obfuscate and segment the market. So I made a break down of each Mignon here: https://www.reddit.com/user/d

Turin DF54 from Alibaba?

The DF54 is a white label product. Could be ‘Turin,’ ‘MiiCoffee’ or ‘DF Grinders’ they’re all the same product from the same factory. I doubt you’re getting a ‘knock off,’ it’s just probably unbranded or something other than ‘Turin.’ The bigger issues I see are after-sales support and power compatib

DF83V v3 [$1000]

I always hear good things about the MiiCoffee/Turin grinders, except for minor retainage and power issues. If I was starting from scratch on a budget, I'd definitely get the DF54. But by the time you get up to the DF64 or DF83 budgets, other premium models seem to get better reviews.

Looking for a first espresso machine [$500]

My usual budget machine post is here: https://www.reddit.com/r/espresso/comments/1pemyi9/comment/nshft26/ But I'll extrapolate some algebra into levels and see what the sub thinks. Each step represents an improvement in both ease and quality/taste, from cheapest to decent cheap: $170 = 1Zpresso Q Ai

Small Quiet Espresso Grinder [€200-300]

Speaking as a former owner, steer clear of the Fellow Opus. It grinds well but has a significant retention problem requiring continuously cleaning up grounds, banging the machine and puffing the lid during grinding to get consistent dosing. The Opus isn't the quietest and a little slow. You can get

About to give up

If the df54 clogs once by accident. (For me because the lid was still on my blind shaker, causing it to back up into the chute. The declumper flap will often bend. 3D Print New Declumper

I bought the metal one at miicoffee over a month ago and now no more clumping. Zero issues where before I was about to toss my df54 in the trash. But even shipping in usa was stupidly over priced. I can't imagine how much they would charge. Declumpers for DF Series Grinders – MiiCoffee https://share

what’s wrong with my grinder jamming [Coffee Grinder DH54]

To add to the clean the chute advice, I had the same issue and did the same clean etc only to have it immediately clog again. My issue appeared to be the declumper which is two pieces of plastic at the head of the chute that had been deformed. I took them off, placed them under some weighted coaster

DF54 Grinder v3 - Clogging Issues (2 weeks of use)

No, I don't have v3 which is why I suspect they did something to the declumper. Even on mine, the ground doesn't collect that much near the needles but on top of the declumper. But it is dislodged very quickly with the bellows. 0.1g-0.2g retention A bit of researching specifically for DF54 declumper

Coffee machine recommendations

The grinder is everything. I think between fresh beans and grinder, that's 95% of the quality of the cup. The Fellow Opus 2 just came out, so there won't be a lot of experience with that yet. The Opus 1 (which I had) ground well, but retention was horrific. Apparently the 2 was a clean sheet re-desi
