Seriously will someone suggest a brand that doesn't suck
An ikea markus has better reclining mechanism and ergonomy, than most gaming chairs at 2x-3x price. You just have to look for something better, and not get stuck at "but gaming chairs are cheaper than herman miller"

Company has mandated 2 days WFH from next week. Help me set up!
I personally think standing desks are redundant unless you are constantly on video calls, you can just stand and work at your usual desk and see if that's comfortable. At least a 24 inch FHD external monitor is a must, you can adjust the size and resolution based on your use case. If you don't care

Does anyone own this chair? Is it even worth spending this much on a chair?
Rm600 isn't that much for an ergonomic chair. Ikea markus which i would regard as entry level ergonomic chair cost rm600. Its ergonomics are not top tier but its build quality is solid as it is made of metal. This chair seems to have many moving parts and it looks like it is made of plastic. Best wa

Where to go to get a good office chair?
Yeah the Ikea Markus is decent for the price. I got mine back in 2020. You should be able to try Herman Miller chairs at Living Edge and see if you can find a second hand one from FB Marketplace or somewhere

How much would you spend on a chair for your WFH setup?
If you are going for an Aeron, you really need to try before you buy. They come in different sizes based on size and weight. But the issue is in my experience seat pan isn’t adjustable so you need to make your legs are properly supported. Steelcase Leap V2 are also decent. You see them pop up the od

This is the 'Premium quality' of Secretlab gaming chair. Another OEM white label local company like Prism+. High priced chair from China, and marketed using sponsored KOL Influencers posting 5-stars reviews, but subpar quality.
Tiagong the best value for money chair is from ikea. Markus $199.

Desk chairs
If you sit for long periods and have back pain, try investing in a good chair. A “cheap” chair for €100 isn’t going to solve the problem. If you’re on a tight budget, I would probably recommend the MARKUS chair from IKEA.

What computer chair would you recommend and from where in Adelaide?
Cloth and mesh are your friends. Fuck the pleather shit! Edit: my current chair is a 10y old Markus form IKEA. I bought a new one recently as the old one is kinda dirty looking now but it still functions! New one was nearly $100 cheaper than the original purchase.

I think that you misread that. They are saying that the gaming chairs are 2x-3x the price of the Ikea Markus, but the Ikea Markus is better than them.

Gaming chair got broken
Personally I'd recommend the Markus from Ikea. It's about as good a chair you can find without going into the €400+ office chair segment.
