As someone who works from home, my Herman Miller Aeron was a game changer

What list?

I'm currently sitting in a Herman Miller Aeron chair from a previous employer who closed that location . When it closed if you could find a manager to sign for it, you could take it home. The managers were about as strict as you'd expect during their last few weeks. Side note, that was more than 15

What did you think was pretentious, until you tried it and realized it was worth it?

Get a Herman Miller Aeron. They're like $1000-1500 new but every time a company goes out of business they have to sell off all their chairs, so you can get them on craigslist for ~300 and even cheaper from liquidation auctions.

New Year, New Mayor! Mamdani already getting right to work!!!

The first thing I noticed about this photo, and I have no idea if it was intentional or not, is the chair. That is not what you expect to see for an executive chair of this level. You'd expect to see something that's more about looks and prestige than performance. This is a Herman Miller Aeron, not

What’s an expensive brand that actually IS worth the money?

At one of my previous jobs, someone was tossing a Herman Miller Aeron. I immediately recognized it and brought it home. The hydraulic cylinder needed to be replaced and it only cost about $40 on Amazon for a replacement kit. I will keep this chair forever.

Looking for an office chair, but can't spend a $1k+ on a Herman Miller. Are there any cheaper alternatives I can get online?

Used Herman Miller Aeron, there’s a reason it’s consistently recommended on this sub. It’s not the only BIFL but it will have one of the largest used selections.

How did you obtain your chair?

People don’t understand how good Herman millers are. The aeron is goated.

Sys admins who are still remote.

Herman Miller Aeron. Provided great support when I was almost 400lbs. Still providing great support when I'm down to 220. Bought it in 2020 and still works like new. No issues. Great quality product. It's expensive but worth every penny imo.

Is $260 for this office chair worth the price?

New Herman Miller Aerons go for $1000+ brand new, so that is a great price used.

Bureaustoel, welke hebben jullie?

Een herman miller aeron. Nieuw zijn ze heel duur maar een 2de handse (eventueel refurbished) is net zo goed en past wel binnen je budget.
