Gamer chairs have terrible ergonomics and the build quality is often ass. People only think they're good because they've only used something like a wooden kitchen chair or an Ikea Markus. Proper office chairs are far superior.

I personally think standing desks are redundant unless you are constantly on video calls, you can just stand and work at your usual desk and see if that's comfortable. Yeah the Ikea Markus is decent for the price. I got mine back in 2020. You should be able to try Herman Miller chairs at Living Edge and see if you can find a second hand one from FB Marketplace or somewhere

The Ikea Markus is shit. If it's fits you out of the box that's great, but for the majority of users having an adjustable base, adjustable arm rests and adjustable lumbar support is a requirement so chairs actually fit us.
