Best budget GMKtec??
if you want to save some money go for the gmktec m7 ultra...it comes with an oculink port and would handle the sims just fine...of course, if you wanted to get more out of it you can buy an egpu later on and use it with the oculink port...another option would be the the k8 plus which has a better ch

Mini PC recommendation for office productivity and light gaming
AceTragic isn't known for build quality or customer service while the Geekom A5 Pro 7430U (2021 5425U rebadge) has weaker Radeon GCN 5 Vega integrated graphics by 2026 standards. https://www.videocardbenchmark.net/compare/5051vs4685/Radeon-Ryzen-5-7430U-vs-Radeon-Ryzen-7-PRO-6850H With a 10% brand p

Help me choose a mini PC
Close friend bought the GMKtec M7 Ultra PRO 6850H to run Mint as a daily driver due to its value and features. A couple was Intel i226V NIC, dual fan cooling, dual 2280 M.2 SSD and 8K60Hz video out. Also found servicing the mini to be extremely easy! Amazon Prime USA has had a brand promotion droppi

Mini PC for High Temperature Environment?
From some personal experience it's less about heat and more about humidity. If it's a dry heat, you're wanting a mini PC with the best ventilation and the most fans the assist in cooling. Upgrading to quality thermal grease is also a priority before placing it into service. https://youtu.be/OqiCHxwU

Mini pc around US$500, any reccs?
Have a friend that bought a A5 Pro 7430U after being sucked in from a Facebook link, but returned it after 3 weeks. She found the 7430U performance a little subpar and was surprised to find it only supported storage expansion for a 2242 M.2 SATA, with better options on cheaper miles. With single fan

Suggestions for MiniPC for Linux
Have a friend who wanted the something similar, originally wanting the popular GMKtec K8 Plus like friends and I have. Unfortunately it has gotten out of their price range. They instead chose the recently released M7 Ultra. They had a requirement of Intel NIC and Wi-Fi. While the K8 Plus has dual i2

Tried a Mini PC and Performance Sucks
Yes, it's not very performant, to say the least. I did some research and ordered the following to replace it: GMKtec M7 Ultra with an AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 6850U, 16GB DDR5 RAM, and a 1TB SSD. That should run Windows reasonably well. I didn't bother to look at GPU performance as I don't game and won't be

Looking for mini PC with Oculink $450 budget
the closest thing to your price point that has exactly what you're looking for is the gmktec m7 Ultra...mind you, that it has a different chassis than the m8 so you might have a better experience with the problems you had with the m8...and you can indeed disable the igpu on it according to the manua
