PC illiterate - Help on finding a mini

The problem with the Beelink SER5 MAX 7735HS beyond the rebadged 6800H processor is the cost cutting lack of USB4 and the fact it's never been listed on the official website. I've also read that these 24GB LPDDR5 memory Beelink minis have problems like this. https://www.reddit.com/r/MiniPCs/s/rECBW7

Is this overkill for Jellyfin Server / NAS / Media box?

Well, it depends on budget and expectations. I know someone who recently wanted a Jellyfin server with a minimum of 32GB, expandable storage and Intel NIC. They ended up with the GMKtec M7 Ultra PRO 6850H. Has dual Intel i226V 2.5GbE NICs and better ventilation and cooling then some others they look

Best budget GMKtec??

if you want to save some money go for the gmktec m7 ultra...it comes with an oculink port and would handle the sims just fine...of course, if you wanted to get more out of it you can buy an egpu later on and use it with the oculink port...another option would be the the k8 plus which has a better ch

Mini PC recommendation for office productivity and light gaming

AceTragic isn't known for build quality or customer service while the Geekom A5 Pro 7430U (2021 5425U rebadge) has weaker Radeon GCN 5 Vega integrated graphics by 2026 standards. https://www.videocardbenchmark.net/compare/5051vs4685/Radeon-Ryzen-5-7430U-vs-Radeon-Ryzen-7-PRO-6850H With a 10% brand p

Looking for purchasing advice - Dual USB-C display and Bluetooth 5.2

450€ is cutting it too close this far into 2026 with the RAMpocalypse. Additionally Zen 3 and older processors like the 5300U/7430U have dual DisplayPort from USB Type C by default without going through a MST controller. HDMI support also reduces DP through USB without a MST controller. One of the b

Help with new setup

With modern mini PCs the bottleneck won't be with the processor but the 4GB/s Intel Thunderbolt controller. Something to be aware of is the RAMpocalypse have heavily skewed prices while most minis have moved the the open USB4 standard over Intel's proprietary Thunderbolt. Although USB4 is supposed t

My head hurts from trying to find what mini pc is the best/right for me. Any ideas?

Current best value on Amazon Prime is the 32GB GMKtec M6 Ultra with a 4nm processor with Radeon RDNA3 760M graphics. Also has USB4 missing from cheaper models. With a Amazon Prime 10% brand promotion the 32GB GMKtec M7 Ultra is currently available for $495. Earlier 6nm processor with 8-cores/16-thre

GMKtec K11 for Proxmox homelab - anyone running it?

Have a friend the recently setup the GMKtec M7 Ultra for Proxmox and is very happy with the results. It's basically the K8 Plus/K11 platform with a previous generation PRO 6850U processor. Same dual Intel i226V but the Wi-Fi card has been downgraded the MediaTek MT7922 (easy fix). They chose the PRO

Any recommendations for mini pcs under $600?

Similar to Minisforum, there have been indicators that the Geekom 3-year warranty has been less than genuine, with it not being around long enough to see where people are with units 30+ months out. If it ends up being a pro rate for a newer model due to being out of stock, that's not a PC warranty.
