I have owned a camera from almost every system being produced but I always find myself drawn back to Olympus M43 cameras. I have a Fujifilm XH2S but I seem to prefer my Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark III, to the point that I'm seriously considering selling my Fuji kit to get an OM-1. It's so sad how Olympus

I worked as a photographer for ~40 years. In 2013 I switched from Canon FF to Fujifilm, because I needed lighter weight equipment to continue to be physically able to work. The early Fuji cameras had fine image quality but terrible autofocus and user interfaces. But those things improved and the ima

Neither. Amongst the Fuji's, the X-M5 is the rangefinder style body for you. The X-M5, X-S20, and X-H2 / X-H2S are the hybrid video cameras. They have a lot more options friendly to video stuff, including support for adding in fans to cool the thing down; better connectivity, etc. If you're really s

I honestly feel like Fujifilm lost something when they switched from having dedicated dials for shutter speed and ISO to a M/A/S/P dial. I guess they still use it on the XT-5 and the X100VI but they really should go back to it on all their cameras except maybe the X-H2/X-H2S. It's especially egregio

I did not spend much time using manual focus lenses before the M11. I slapped a Helios 44-2 and a speed booster on my Fujifilm XH2S (sold) back when that lens was all the rage. I loved the results, but found the focusing process on the XH2S a bit finicky. It could have been the focus peaking, and it

The days of sensor size being the determining factor in price have been gone for a while. They're different tools. The OM-3 has a fully stacked sensor, better IBIS, better weather sealing, ect. The Fujifilm XH2S retails for significantly more than the Z6 III and more than the A7C II. The A7R5 retail

Honestly the X-H2S is a great camera and in some ways has a better image/video specs than either Sony (open gate, 6K, ProRes or high data rate H265, great color). The biggest improvement you’ll notice is autofocus (Fuji AF is terrible) but the lenses are bigger and more expensive. If you do get a So

As others have said, you have to start with why you want to upgrade. What about the R7 is actually causing problems/limitations in your shooting? Without knowing that, everyone is just guessing. If you're struggling with low light/noise then no APS-C upgrade is ever going to fix that better than jus

High-end crop sensor, i.e. north of $2,000 USD, is a hard sell. Even Fujifilm, the most successful crop sensor vendor, couldn't move X-H2 and X-H2S bodies when all of their other cameras were regularly out of stock. I also think Nikon was pretty successful in moving their higher-end DX DSLR customer

I shoot events. Not weddings all that often but events and some product photography. Mostly all low light. Mostly all for social media. 70% photo and 30% video. I hear pros all the time say i use XXX for my professional stuff and Fuji for my personal stuff. I don’t see how I personally could separat
