Studio Display XDR Crashes Still Persist

man the studio display xdr is probably one of apple's best worst products. on one hand, it's an awesome display with a high resolution and great color accuracy. on the other hand, it's pretty buggy (atleast from what i've seen, i don't actually own one). so buggy that updating it might brick it, lik

Studio Display XDR is native 10 bit?

nobody likes to publish this, unfortunately. it is very hard to find out if displays are actually native bit depths. a professional display should be 10bit and for the price, studio display is it (it needs it for HD). i think in your case it is 10bit+dithering for 12bit, switch that off. do not get

If/when apple released Apple Studio Display with a possible 120HZ refresh rate - your current Mac won't still support it

If you're into gaming, get the gaming display. Studio display is more for those dealing with color accuracy.

Apple Studio Display XDR Now FDA-Cleared for Diagnostic Radiology Use

Most radiology displays are IPS displays with high peak brightness and good (by IPS standards - think 2000:1) contrast ratios. (Most of them don't even have local dimming.) The intent is not to see pixel-level brightness changes, but to be able to notice subtle variations in shades of grey that disp

Apple Studio Display

It’s not great. The rumour is that we’ll get a studio displayed 2 this year which is kind of corroborated by both Samsung and LG announcing 5K 27 inch panels this year presumably Apple might have pitted them against each other to make a panel so we’ll see which one they’ve put in the next studio dis

Studio Display XDR owners, what are your opinions on the display?

Absolutely incredible. I bought two for SE dev work. Yes completely overkill, but wanted pro or Studio Displays for years and finally pulled the trigger. Guaranteed I could have gotten away with 2 of the non-XDRs (when I’m on my work machine I only get 60hz on both and my personal I get 120hz on bot

Studio Display XDR Owners: Thoughts so far?

I like it a lot. I had a 2022 Studio Display, and I replaced it with the XDR with nano texture. I’m using it with an M4 Mac mini now. I also have an M5 Pro 16-inch MBP (with nano texture), and I use the MBP a lot (and had an M3 Max MBP with standard display before; and an M1 Max before that). I’ve g

LG UltraFine 32" 6K vs. ASUS ProArt 32" 6K: Which 6K Display Should YOU Buy

Agreed, I just got the Asus 6k this week and it’s great. I was very worried given all the reviews about the LuxPixel finish but after using it I literally can’t figure out what they’re talking about. I use the Apple Studio Display at work and the only difference I can tell is the colors pop more on

Studio Display 2: The Latest Rumors About Apple's Next Monitor

Who all is selling 5K, 600-nit full-screen brightness monitors with excellent speakers, built-in webcam, Thunderbolt/USB-C hub with 96W PD, 100% sRGB coverage, and ~90% Adobe RGB coverage for significantly less than $1499? Build quality and warranty/service is also a concern here. There are other 5K

Just bought a new Mac Mini M4; why is my text and overall picture quality fuzzy?

I splashed out and bought the Apple Studio display. I don't regret it one bit. Pin sharp text and beautiful colours. It's a 5K, 27" monitor. It's expensive, but worth it.
