I wonder why people really don’t prefer iMacs anymore?

The real question is Why doesn’t Apple make a ‘budget’ screen for all these people buying the mini. Theres no way everyone’s buying a £1.5k studio display so they’re leaving money on the table somewhere

Apple Polishing Cloth for $6.99 on Woot

From an earlier Reddit thread about the polishing cloth, on why it exists. I think the author of this piece and other people (even Apple fans) do not realize that this cloth is solely meant for users of Nanotexture display glass (edit: it’s actually the glass, not a coating.) It’s not a general purp

Apple announces 14" MacBook Pro powered by M5

Thunderbolt 4 is a bit unfortunate if the rumored TB5 Studio Displays are coming out within the next year, most Macs will be unable to drive the full 120hz.

macOS Tahoe 26.2 Gets Edge Light Feature for Video Calls

A mini-LED Studio Display capably of 1600+ nits would really be able to push that light ring to output close to a real light ring.

10 Years ago (Sept 2015) I made a post asking what would be the "one more thing" in Sept 2025. Let's see what people get right and wrong!

Cellular chips (C1, C1X successors) and eSIMs integrated into MacBooks. Their own wireless chips (N1 successors) integrated into MacBooks. Those may bo

Mac Studio and Studio Display Turn Three Today

The tech in the studio display feels so ancient it's hard to believe it's only three years old.

M5 iPad Pro Could Hint at New Studio Display Feature [120 Hz]

The next Studio Display needs 120 Hz at a minimum along with MiniLED like the latest MacBook Pros. I think giving it tandem OLED like the M4 iPad Pro would be unlikely knowing Apple likes to overprice its hardware.

Did I take the wrong car??

If you do any kind of photo, video, or design work, the Studio Display is tough to beat in absolute terms. The ASUS ProArt is definitely far better value, but if you’ve got the budget for a Studio it’s an excellent product.
