I have a matte LG GX950 next to a LG C2 42 all this matte vs glossy chat is completely overhyped and when you see it in person rather than select angled pictures youll see a difference but one is not better than the other they both have plus and minuses. Gloss sounds and looks impressive at first in

I absolutely despise smart TV's. I just want a beautiful dumb OLED panel. For my LG C2, I had to accept the voice recognition terms of use to be able to see the option to disable that feature. TV OS's are spyware.

That's why I use LG C2 as my PC monitor. It just looks better than any gaming specific monitor out there. I guess 120 Hz refresh rate is the only downside, but it's not like my 4070 Ti can push more than 120 FPS at 4K anyways.

HDR works fine on Nvidia as long as you’re using KDE and using the proper proton variables PROTON_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1 PROTON_ENABLE_HDR=1 ENABLE_HDR_WSI=1 I game on CachyOS with an LG C2 42” at 4k120 with HDR where supported and it is glorious.

LG is real shit. They geolock the TVs. Bought a C2 version of their TV while in South America (as my old Samsung gave-up). When I returned to UK, it won't connect to UK channels. So only way was to use a Firestick. Never again. Not sure other brands do same.

I'm all for bigger text. Even maybe a black border around dialogue options, because my father (in his 60's) has issues with the bright yellow glow when selecting options and has to switch options to see. This is on a 77-inch lg c2.

Too true. I tell people my 65” LG C2 was $2.5k brand new when I got it (I got it for $1.5k open box though 🤫), and they swear their $500 77” UHD Toshiba is better because bigger and cheaper. Like… what? And when I try to show/explain to them the difference, they don’t have time for all that and tryi

This is sadly a very common issue with WOLEDs. You'd be pretty lucky to find a WOLED with no uniformity problems. My LG C2 has two vertical lines on the right side and they never went away. It's mostly visible during grey scenes. In most normal content it's very hard to spot. Still sucks though.
