A windows user here, need to buy Mac mini for some apps testing, should i wait for mac mini m5? what's the probability of June Release?

You don’t need all that CPU power just for app testing. Just buy some Mac Mini. Upgrade with maximum RAM for fortune use, that’s more important than CPU speed. The M4 is already rocket fast! 🚀

Should I switch to a Mac mini?

Yes. No question about it. I was a Windows user for over three decades but switched to a Mac mini m4 and was blown away by the performance of Apple Silicone Silicon. It blows Intel/AMD chips out of the water, and I’m not even exaggerating. You can run Windows in a VM if you still need access to some

We are Switching to Linux… For a Whole MONTH

Related story: his first Linux challenge is exactly why, when I bought a Steam Deck OLED (it's so fucking good wow), I told myself that was Linux enough for me, especially because [Fortune 250 company I work for] paid for my Windows laptop anyway on a lease-to-own. Around January last year, I bought

Apple May Drop Base $599 MacBook Neo as Chip, DRAM Costs Climb

I am a power user and got a MacBook Neo. For everything besides running an Android simulator for development the Neo runs about the same speed as my M2 Pro Mac Mini with 16 GB of RAM. I have Apple Music, Safari, Chrome, Visual Studio, and other software all open and running flawlessly on the Neo.

it unites all of us

I was holding on to my gaming pc for so long but Windows has become utter trash now and because I only really play Cyberpunk2077, Minecraft, Nier, etc I’ll be just as happy with an M4 Mac Mini. Microsoft forcing AI into everything has just ruined the experience along side Windows being spyware now.

Why Mac mini??

Nah, that’s obviously a false narrative that popped up after the fact. The local LLMs guys are on a Mac Studio not a Mac Mini. What you’re describing doesn’t match the history of why Mac Minis became popular. It’s because used M1 Mac Minis were $100-$150 and gave you integration with iMessage, Apple

Just Apple Things

This is 100% ON PURPOSE. And so is putting the Mac Mini power button on the BOTTOM of the thing. There is someone at Apple that WANTS people to burn. Like the mouse is amazing, scrolling is amazing, gestures are amazing, but you can't even hold it properly because it's so fucking.. idk.. what's the

How big is the jump from M1 to M4/M5?

My M4 MacBook Pro (standard 10 core) 24GB/1TB rendered the same AfterEffects project in exactly half the time as the M1 Mac Mini (standard 8 core) 16GB/1TB in my own tests.

M4 Mac mini cluster saving thousands per month

We’re on monthly billing with Google Cloud. I maxed out most of the specs on the Mac mini but I don’t think I ended up needing to. I wasn’t sure what the hardware requirements would end up being so I erred on the side of over-provisioning: M4 Pro chip with 14‑core CPU, 20‑core GPU, 16-core Neural En

MacBook Neo for my home recording (metal)?

For roughly the same money you will be much much much better off with a base M4 Mac Mini. Cannot be beat for the price at all when it comes to audio production.
