New guitar, who dis Amp?

You want a FRFR speaker (for example, HeadRush, Valeton) or a powered studio monitor (for example, Yamaha HS5). Your GP-200 already acts as a preamp/amp.

Recommended speakers?

Yamaha HS5 or KRK RP5 are both decent entry level speakers. In general avoid speakers that have bluetooth. I've seen a few of these advertised and they are just toys. You will also need a decent audio interface. The MOTU M2 or M4 are really solid high quality units. A little cheaper would be Univers

Stage Piano speakers

I recently bought a pair of Yamaha HS5 (they come in white, for interior design concerns) and have them sitting on the floor. They are on mounts I bought from Kanto: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07YBNDD5W . The mounts are on the floor near my keyboard. (If you use the Kanto mount, be sure to get the r

Audio interfaces

I have the 2i2 Gen3 myself. Love it. I run it from a MacBook Pro, with balanced line-outs to Yamaha HS5 Monitors. I also have Sony MDR-7506 Monitor Headphones plugged in to it and find the monitoring combo to be really good. I recently added a Shure SM7B cardiod mic to the Scarlett, although between

Good speakers for guitar?

I really like my Yamaha HS5's. I think at a certain point even though it is a "hobby" too cheap is too cheap and you will run into the same issues as you did with the Eris. The HS5's are about $150 each but they sound great and cover the frequency range of the guitar pretty well.

Question about monitors.

Yamaha HS5 should be enough to hear changes that you do inside a daw. Must be some other reason, too quiet/ too loud, monitors are not at ear level, setup badly etc. try getting some good headphones, like Sennheiser HD480s (what i use now) and see how you get on. Apart the very low bass, the differe

Advice on studio monitors for guitar and bass?

I started with Yamaha HS5’s which were great for a long time until I really needed to mix and found I couldn’t hear the low end. I eventually upgraded to HS8’s and enjoy them quite a bit as they actually produce the low end and don’t need to be cranked to hear it. FAR less trips to my car to check m

Debloated my desk a bit

I honestly think HS5 would be enough for me but ended up buying these years ago and still rocking them. Yamaha has amazing musician stuff…
