Get yourself a Thunderbolt 4/USB 4 external SSD enclosure with a fast SSD of your choice (WD_Black SN850x, Samsung 990 pro or 980 pro) and you’ll have a lot more storage, as fast as your internal drive, for less than $200. You can even swap your SSD sticks. That same storage space bought directly on

1 TB will fill up quick and it's a DRAM less drive that will use system RAM for cache, making it slower than a drive with DRAM. Otherwise looks good. I'd swap it for a WD Black SN850X 2TB or Samsung 990 Pro (not 990 EVO)

I’ve the M2 Max Mac Studio but maybe my experience could be of some use to you and I also use those same OWC enclosures with it and have had similar problems to yours. When I got this setup I connected three of these OWCs but couldn’t understand why the third one disconnected or would’t connect at a

If I was you I would probably go for an AM5 motherboard like X670E or B650E (E is for Extreme and is for your price range prob. the best). For the processor I would go for a 9600x or 7600x if you want to save some money. And make sure your RAM is AMD EXPO optimized. If possible go for a 2 TB SSD lik

I see a lot of people recommending the 990 Pro for the Xbox Ally X, but before you go get the fastest and most expensive drive, think about power consumption. The stock Samsung MZ-VMA1T00 (PM9A1) already balances solid speed with power efficiency, usually drawing around 4.5W under load. The 990 Pro,

I recently bought the WD_BLACK SN850X NVMe SSD 2 TB. On November 18, it was €150, but now it's a little more expensive (€177). The 4 TB version currently costs €300. In recent tests, it was consistently among the top performers, averaging out as one of the best NVMe SSDs. It's even better than the c

This turned into a wall of text and perhaps a mini vent, but I was in the same boat as you three days ago, so I suggest slogging through at least until the first part. I marked where my bitching starts and ends. :) The main thing holding me back from switching to Linux was how SDR games look kinda f

In what way are the sn850 not high quality? It was the Samsung that had a lot of failure problems a couple years ago which have been resolved. They are both excellent drives for most things the SN850x that OP has usually outperforms the Samsung.

At the moment, it’s probably cheaper to look at a prebuilt, rather than buy the parts. Origin make some PCs aimed at MSFS24. You don’t give a budget, so it is difficult to make suggestions. But if money is not holding you back. CPU: 9800X3D + Artic 360 AIO GPU: RTX 5090 or if you want something affo
