What are your thoughts about games getting negative reviews because they're incompatible with steamdeck?
If the thing says steam deck supported in the checks and has tons of issues then its fair imho. But not this

This is NOT verified. It’s a slide show 😭😭😭😭does verified mean anything anymore?
The game is verified to launch at 10fps haha If you change some settings it can be a little better but should not be verified for sure. Changing from "quality" default graphics to "performance". Should absolutely have been the default Steam deck settings BEFORE it was verified, as an absolute bare m

What are your thoughts about games getting negative reviews because they're incompatible with steamdeck?
this would be my thought, if the game says Steam Deck verified and it doesn't play well then it deserves that negative review. A game just not working and doesn't claim to is a whole other thing.

I am afraid I can't do that, Dave
Unless you put in the steam launch option to pretend your PC is a steam deck. Then a lot of games will cooperate lol.

How often do you use your Steam Deck at home when you already have a gaming PC?
A lot, but I think the people that get the most use are husbands and dads. For example my wife likes to hang out upstairs and not feel so disconnected so we can talk still. Steam deck is great for this and progressing single player games.

Skate hits 100K players on Steam
It's insane to me it doesn't have Steam Deck/Linux support. It's the perfect device for it.

What do you think the SD is lacking? / What's your biggest complaint about it?
Another USB C port would be awesome. And better hardware of course, so I can also play new AAA games. And not really related to the deck it self but the steam shop kinda sucks on the deck.

Thoughts on the Xbox Ally OS, compared to Steam OS?
Seems like they're also introducing a system similar to valves "steam deck verified" badges, as well as optimising windows for handhelds Interested in seeing what the future brings between Microsoft and Valve

I’ve won a new steam deck
For me personally steamOS was one of the selling points of the deck and I’ve never wanted for windows

A realization after owning nearly every major handheld: It's not about the specs.
Until a competitor does a console with track pads and back buttons the Steam Deck will remain unrivalled as far as I'm concerned. It's insane to me that none of the other handhelds have implemented these.
