Steam Deck

As much as I love the SD this is such a common problem it’s ridiculous. This could be (mostly) remedied if Valve just didn’t use the most obvious packaging ever.

In the UK my Steam Deck arrived in a largely ordinary looking cardboard box, except for a Companion Cube themed “This Way Up” sign and small logo next to the handling warnings. Nothing over the top, but enough to alert anyone looking for deliveries to snag. It’s cute, but yeah. Please don’t do this.

I doubt it because it would block your vent exhaust and power/vol buttons. And you also don’t want to risk damaging the USB-C port on steam deck - it’s soldered to the board and not easily replaced

if the hardware and development teams at Valve, which gave us the quality of the SD, finds design/ergonomic improvements to make in a SD2... I hope they don't get dissuaded from making those changes from random reddit posts.

Not as common as you seem to think… The large majority of the world has no issues at all. But it usually becomes obvious when the steam deck starts splitting open on its own. No need to be paranoid. Just use the device normally and only check it out (open the device) if you can see physical issues o
