I was so on the fence between the two. Stats, hardware, and screen size had me leaning towards the MSI 8ai+ I went to my local best buy and was able to demo both of them. I walked out with the XAX 10 minutes later. The weight of the Claw was insane. I'm a decently strong/big guy so I was shocked it

Gosh man, people still recommending the steam deck is a little frustrating. He has 1000 dollars, and can easily afford something with far, far more performance than a steam deck but nope. For OP, I would recommend the Xbox ally x or MSI claw 8ai+

I don't have the Xbox ally but I have the msi claw 8 ai, and it runs the Xbox front end just the same. I'm 40, and a new first time dad. If it wasnt for handheld gaming id be out of the hobby. Too easy just to pick it up for a few minutes before bed or if the baby is napped out. It's how Im playing

My personal favorite is the Lenovo Legion Go S 32GB 1TB Z1 extreme with SteamOs because compared to the Legion Go 2 it's much lighter and more usable and the performances are not that far apart (With frame gen is a little beast now for AAA games). And it costs much less, with the coupon code I bough

honestly i can't answer your question, because i took the five minutes to google how tonset up the MSI Claw and everything runs great. I love that you didn't do that butbinstead went on the internet to complain. You should probably return both and get a fidget spinner

MSI Claw 8AI+ is my favorite so far. Really looking forward to a PTL model with 12Xe in a few months.

Its not a console that's plug and play lol. You got to set it up first before you play games on it. The only things the rog xbox ally x has going for it, is how comfy it is. Besides that the msi claw 8ai is just better

Barely better than a rog ally X, and feels worse than msi claw 8 ai+, specially screen and battery. Performance wise, if you already have rog ally X or msi, there's no point in getting this one. If you dont have any pc handheld it's a good adquisition.

You have several mainstream options. Strengths and weaknesses are below (relative to just these devices): XBox Ally X Z2E: good performance, battery life, ergonomics; smaller screen size Legion Go S Z2Go: good ergonomics, SteamOS; weaker performance and battery life Legion Go S Z1E: good performance

I’d say MSI Claw 8ai+ is the best all rounder right now. 8 inch screen still smaller than LeGo 2, good battery size, good power with the intel chip. Only downside for me was the software and lack of support for bazzite/steamOS. A portable but more powerful option is the Onexfly F1 Pro. OLED screen i
