Need NAS advice: Should I build my own or buy a pre-built one?
I went with the ugreen dxp2800 and have loved it so far. It was my first NAS and found the setup and file management to be smooth. You can also download docker and run containers for Immich, jellyfin, home assistant, etc. with a lot of helpful tutotorials walking you through the process for each. if

UGREEN NAS Dh2300
You bought the wrong NAS, DXP2800 is the model to go for 3rd party apps. The DH2300 has 4GBs of ram soldered and a Rockchip RK3576 which likely won't have support for it's media and AI accelerators natively in all those apps. So they'll run like crap. You'll be limited to Ugreen's basic apps and may

UGreen Theatre App
Ugreen Theater app works fantastic for me. Using DXP2800. It plays the Dolby Vision and transcodes everything. It's great. Haven't experienced any choppiness.

I bought lifetime plex, long time ago for around $69 and been using it sens, been working and never need a new app to try, but would go to jellyfin if i would leave plex. Just started my journey with DXP2800, 2x8tb, all via Docker. Really glad i bought Ugreen.

Help me pick a NAS
I have a UGREEN DXP2800 with 2 8TB drives. I got it a little over a year ago. It's my first NAS and I don't have any regrets. The UGREEN OS is great and easy to use. I like their photos app. It automatically backs up the photos on your phone through their mobile app. They also have AI features for y

dxp2800 for plex and home assistant?
1.) I use ugreen’s theater app for movies and am loving it! Haven’t played with plex or jellyfin yet. I want to test jellyfin too but have been satisfied with ugreen’s version so far. 2.) yes! I run home assistant through a VM on my dxp2800. There’s some great YouTube tutorials out there to help set

Setting up a Plex Server with separated NAS, how’s this hardware set up look?
Honestly you could probably ditch the mini PC and run your Plex server on the ugreen. The N100 is perfectly capable of what you're asking. Source : I do the exact same with my DXP2800. most streams I've had so far have been 8. Could direct stream a ton more.
