I went with the ugreen dxp2800 and have loved it so far. It was my first NAS and found the setup and file management to be smooth. You can also download docker and run containers for Immich, jellyfin, home assistant, etc. with a lot of helpful tutotorials walking you through the process for each. if

Help me pick a NAS

I have a UGREEN DXP2800 with 2 8TB drives. I got it a little over a year ago. It's my first NAS and I don't have any regrets. The UGREEN OS is great and easy to use. I like their photos app. It automatically backs up the photos on your phone through their mobile app. They also have AI features for y

dxp2800 for plex and home assistant?

1.) I use ugreen’s theater app for movies and am loving it! Haven’t played with plex or jellyfin yet. I want to test jellyfin too but have been satisfied with ugreen’s version so far. 2.) yes! I run home assistant through a VM on my dxp2800. There’s some great YouTube tutorials out there to help set

Should I hold off on Plex server?

Yes, it's a terrible time to buy/build any computer. A year ago, N150 mini PCs were like $200. Now they cost $300+ for 8GB RAM, 256GB setups and just doesn't seem worth it. Most NAS HDDs are either sold out or super expensive--must like every other computer component nowadays... Maybe a UGREEN DXP28

Happy with my recent purchase DXP2800

After extensive research, I decided to go with the DXP2800 and set it up over the weekend. I’m happy with the overall purchase. I definitely like the UI, it was easy to create shared folders and enable NFS. I also set up Pi-hole as a Docker container. I haven’t enabled UGreenLink for now, just plann

UGREEN NASync DXP2800 BIOS Smart Fan Settings to Lower Temps

If you're running a Frigate NVR setup (or anything CPU-heavy) on the UGREEN NASync DXP2800 and noticing high temps, tweaking the BIOS fan settings can make a big difference.

In my case, I was consistently seeing mid-80s °C on the Intel N100 CPU. After adjusting the Smart Fan settings in the BIOS, m
