I literally can't even

Yeah, just submitted. It's been a frustrating experience with the UNAS line. Starting with this: https://www.reddit.com/r/Ubiquiti/comments/1rvioew/unas_4_has_drive_failed_all_four_ssds/ Which I returned both UNAS 4 for the UNAS Pro 8, thinking it would do a better job handling my specific model of SSD (s

Amazing new line of UNAS

Did Ubiquiti finally realize that seven unevenly spaced discs in a NAS looked stupid? The UNAS pro 8 looks much better.

Is the UNVR End of Life? New customer and I'm confused...

While inaccurate on the software end, I'll just mention that if you're looking to buy it, there may be some considerations from the UNAS lineup. At least previously, the UNAS Pro and UNVR Pro shared hardware within the 2U variant. Recently, the UNAS Pro has received some updates and there is a 1U (P

Does anybody have a sense whether the UNAS Pro will stick around for another year or so?

They’ll likely keep selling it for a long time (at least, as long as they keep selling the UNVR-Pro it’s based on) but there’s no promise it will be this on sale again. Then again, in a year the UNAS-Pro-8 could also be made more affordable by them adding even more stuff to their lineup. Planning a

Considering Ubiquiti for Home Network - Questions

No I don't think they have sales at all I don't see any issue I prefer to place multiple access points but at low antenna power, instead of a single access point running at max power. Roaming works great on recent devices and connectivity is at 100%. For example, I prefer the U7 Lite for bedrooms an

UPS 2U pairing with UNAS Pro 8.

Yes, the UPS 2U outputs a simulated sine wave, which can in theory cause instability with active PFC power supplies like the UNAS Pro’s. But I find it unlikely Ubiquiti would build first-party graceful shutdown integration between these two products without bench-testing that the stepped waveform fa

UNAS Pro 8 Available in EU!!

unfortunately ubiquiti seems on a roll to push out full size rack releases recently, my peasant 500mm depth rack can't hold in, which the unas pro 8 is. at least i use it as an excuse to prevent myself from buying new toys. 😅

What do I overlook here

That’s what I just got, though one of the reasons in the depth. I couldn’t fit the unas pro 8 in my rack. Also, the WAF… unas pro is a lot more palatable. Just remember you can’t run VMs on any of the ubiquiti NASs. You’ll need a separate server

Unas Pro vs Unas Pro 4

I think the UNAS Pro 4 will barely fit. The toolless mini rack length is 460mm. The UNAS Pro 4 is 400mm. One thing to note is the 460mm length is for the dimensions of the minirack... I dont know why ubiquiti doesn't list max supported length for the equipment. I guess cause things can just stick ou

Warning that bears repeating - Unifi UPS offerings DO NOT SUPPORT UNAS-Pro-8

Wow, that would be a major design issue for their ecosystem. I've got one sitting new in box, plus 4 more 12TB's, I was going to add to my system, to migrate from my unas pro. Would it be fine if connected to the ubiquiti pdu instead of directly to the ups?
