Recommendations for setup

I own a bunch of Ubiquiti gear (but not any of their APs) and while it works great you do need to be a lot more comfortable managing your network than you do with consumer-oriented gear like Asus. I'd suggest looking at mesh Wi-Fi systems where you get multiple APs and can place them as needed for b

Spectrum or Frontier Internet?

Five year old router technology. I suggest upgrading to a mesh network. Try the TP-Link Deco S4 system for testing purposes.

Just looking for your two cents on what I purchased..

Hey take my questions worth two grains of salt but have you considered the tp-link deco mesh they are pretty inexpensive compared to orbi imo. And they are interchangeable (e.g. one x20 as the main and 3 s4’s)

Would this work?

Ok, I understand what you are doing better now - there is no need for the MI's to sit behind the TP-Link so by connecting them to the switch you are taking the TP-Link out of the path for them to reach the internet (Nokia) Is it correct that the Nokia is acting as the only router in your network and

openwrt on s4 deco mesh wifi x 3

If you actually read through the page you linked to, you will find out that Deco S4 runs on a Qualcomm Atheros QCA9563 processor (single core, 750 MHz) with 128 MB RAM and 16 MB storage. Help!

Get a wifi extender or maybe two - they can create a mesh network with your downstairs wifi router and extend your wifi as far as you want. 2.4 GHz Wifi can only go maybe 100 feet where there are walls or floors, or 40 feet for 5 GHz, so you may need multiple wifi extenders to daisy-chain their way

Are broadband providers trying to scam us with multigig packages?

It's not even 900Mbps packages that suffer like this. My family has a 250Mbps package, which can get the vast majority of this through Wi-Fi downstairs and in the room above the router. But anywhere else in the upper floor, speeds diminished rapidly.I could get just above 100Mbps at the far end of t
