you don’t even need a wifi 7 router technically. i’m still on a 3-pack of Deco M5’s that i bought 4 years ago so it’s at least that old. any decent router from the last 5 (maybe even 10) years is probably fine.

I'd go with the TP-Link Deco M5 solid budget mesh, dual-band, easy setup. Covers your size home fine. Wi-Fi 6 is nice, but not a must unless you’ve got a lot of newer devices. Deco M5 (Wi-Fi 5) should be enough.

The latency is really specific to everyone’s own setup and then the things they don’t have control over, external factors right behind the router all the way to Nvidia. What works for you might not work for everyone. I’ll say I have really rarely issues and most of the time I’m using a wired connect
