I’ve actually been running it as my main daily driver on my F2-425 Plus for the past month and it’s been pretty flawless. I did keep wondering why there hadn’t been many updates until this morning and now I know why! Excellent work!

Home NAS - Synology? QNAP? Ugreen?
2 months ago I was in your shoes and afterall I went with Terramaster F2-425 plus :) and could not be happier. If you don't like the system, you can always change it, even for xpenology. For me TOS is enough (data, jellyfin, qBittorrebt, Immich, Home Assistant)

Looking for a budget NAS for a small home project
Don't go for the DH2300 because it is an ARM processor so severely going to hamper your flexibility because most stuff doesn't work on ARM. The DXP2800 is a great option. Otherwise the newer TerraMaster F2-425 or F2-425 Plus are options depending on availability in your area. As for OS, I generally

Looking to go from TrueNas to TOS7, anything i should know before i do?
I'm currently running TOS 7 as my main OS on my F2-425 Plus and it's working nicely - no issues with the arr stack, Jellyfin and Nextcloud as well.

Is TOS 7 a thing already?
I seem to recall reading about a planned October date for the full release but don’t hold me to that. I’ve been using it as my main OS on my F2-425 Plus for the past month and it’s been rock solid.

TERRAMASTER F4-212 Can No Longer Be Accessed
Weird because my F2-425 Plus went down twice today as well. Hung this morning about 9:30 and this afternoon about 3, although powering off and on both times did bring it back up which I know probably isn’t a lot of help !

Did putting your media on a NAS actually simplify your setup?

Newbie - Debating between DXP2800 vs DS225+
I would say go with the Synology. While it is not perfect it works for all your requirements, including the part where you do not want to tinker with it.I have been using Synology for 10 years+ (DS214 and DS218+) and they have been rock stable.
